The International Yeats Society is currently running a fundraising campaign; to donate, please use the form below.
The purpose of this campaign is to put the open access publication of our journal, International Yeats Studies, on a secure financial footing for the next five years.
Please make a donation to help us reach our fundraising target of €5,000.
International Yeats Studies was first published in 2016. Across its eleven issues since, it has become an invaluable scholarly resource for all those interested in studying the poet’s work. A key part of the journal’s success, including its wide, global readership, has been that it is freely available to all.
The approximate cost to the Society of producing one or two issues per year is €3,500. So far, these expenses have been offset by the membership fees paid to the Society. However, due to this the Society is currently running a deficit each year of €500-1,000.
Please help secure the journal’s open access future.
In 1916, Yeats wrote to the Royal Literary Society imploring them to offer financial support to a then little-known writer called James Joyce. On hearing news of this act of kindness, Joyce wrote to Yeats expressing his great gratitude for this ‘friendly and valuable support’. Likewise, we are truly grateful for any support you might be able to offer to further this key aspect of the Society’s mission.
